How it started

Vision Drafting, Inc. was formed in 2017 by Bob Graham.  He is the president, and has a vast amount of glazing industry knowledge as well as Autocad experience.  His experience in the glazing industry began as a glazing apprentice at 15 years of age as a summertime job.  After graduating high school in 2002, he worked as a glazing apprentice full time for two years, and in 2004 left home to join the US Navy.  He served in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, and made the decision to get back into the glazing industry after his four year contract was finished.  While serving as an estimator at Southeastern Glass & Metal, he also attained an Associate of Science Degree in Construction Management.  Eventually he was promoted to project manager.  After some time in this role, he became a part owner of the company.

What we do

We have worked on glazing projects in every market sector including retail, mixed use, government, education, healthcare, religious, offices and industrial.  These projects have ranged in size from hundreds of square feet to several thousand square feet of glazing.  We work on everything from simple storefront projects all the way to complex segmented radius curtain wall with sunshades!  We enjoy the challenge of working out all the small details such as determining which vertical mullion will withstand the specified wind load and meet any radius requirements perfectly.  We also ensure that every frame will sit in it's opening in such a way that waterproofing and fastening requirements for the system will be met, all the while keeping the installation as simple as possible.  Our forward thinking approach to drafting will get you through the planning and submittal phase smoothly.  Don't just take our word for it, please view some of our sample projects!
